Flash
In some instances Flash animations have been used to further illustrate detail, e.g. in the section on Printing in Scotland. In these sections, the numbers circled in red will animate detail on a particular image, with links to its source information, as shown below.

For playback, it is necessary to install Flash Player 6.0 on your computer.

If you do not have this installed, it is available free by clicking this link.

As with the static pages, the Flash pages allow you to view details of the source material used to illustrate the page.

In this instance, clicking the View Image Source link identifies that this image comes from the National Library of Scotland's Chepman and Myllar Prints and as such, is unique to this library.

There is also a link to the NLS site.

Clicking the close image link returns the viewer to the previous page.

For the teaching notes in the Testament Study Tools section, you will need to have Adobe's Acrobat Reader. Click this link to go to the Adobe website to download the software.

By clicking on the view details link in Introduction to Printing, a new page opens, as shown here, with information not only about the specific copy used to illustrate the previous page but also on where other editions can found.

At present, the locations listed are hyperlinked to the web sites of each holding library but, if possible in Phase 2, the intention is to link directly to either the relevant library catalogue or the COPAC record.
